A timeless classic cocktail Long before cosmopolitans and the Aperol spritz, the cocktail was a specific concoction. Some versions of the story say the name came from the time the drink should be taken first thing, as the cock crows.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Whiskey
  • 25ml Fresh orange juice
  • 25ml Simple Syrup
  • Add dried common orange peel

Method

  • Add the ingredients over ice.
  • Garnish glass with orange juice/peels.
  • Drink while cold
